SUMMARY:Open Round Table - first Regional Homelessness Action Plan
DESCRIPTION:I am pleased to share an exciting opportunity from the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) and would be grateful if you could help promote it amongst the people you support. \nThe CPCA is currently developing its first Regional Homelessness Action Plan\, which will help shape how future homelessness services\, projects and investment are delivered across our region. With additional powers and funding being devolved to the Combined Authority in the coming years\, this is a unique opportunity for people with lived experience to directly influence future priorities and decision-making. \nTo ensure the Action Plan reflects the realities of homelessness\, CPCA is keen to hear from individuals with lived experience of homelessness\, whether they have previously engaged with support services or not. \nA Round Table Event will be held on the morning of 9th October from 10.30am – 1pm at Allia Futures Business Centre\, Peterborough (Peterborough United Football Club). \nthis is an opportunity for people with lived experience to share their experiences\, insights and ideas on how homelessness services and support could be improved. \nThis is a genuine opportunity for individuals to: \n\nHave their voice heard by those shaping future homelessness policy.\nInfluence the development of the region’s first Homelessness Action Plan.\nShare their experiences and expertise.\nHelp shape future homelessness projects and services across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.\nContribute towards creating better outcomes for people experiencing homelessness in the future.\n\nWe would greatly appreciate your support in identifying and encouraging individuals who may wish to participate. We understand that attending an event and sharing personal experiences can feel daunting for some people. Participants are welcome to bring a support worker\, advocate\, or trusted person with them if this would help them feel more comfortable and supported during the discussion. \nI can also confirm that there will be £40 for each person attending as a thank you for your time and expertise\, travel expenses can also be reimbursed (up to £25). Lunch will also be provided. \nIf you know someone who may be interested in contributing or want any further information\, please contact Tom or me at Marie.Ludlam@cambridgeshire.gov.uk or Tom.Tallon@cambridgeshire.gov.uk or the CPCA team at rory.lowings@cambridgeshirepeterborough-ca.gov.uk / eloise.france@cambridgeshirepeterborough-ca.gov.uk \nThank you for helping us ensure that lived experience remains at the heart of future homelessness policy and service development. \nBest wishes \nMarie Ludlam
